The F-1512 combines two of Guild's most iconic specialties: twelve string and jumbo guitars. With their large, rounded bodies, jumbo acoustic guitars have been Guild's forte since 1954; combining this shape with the ever-popular 12-string construction results in a full-toned, impressively voiced acoustic instrument. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, the F-1512 also features an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Bone nut and saddle, and mother-of-pearl rosette. This model also has a 1 7/8" nut width on a vintage shaped Guild neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard, and Guild's new lightweight poly foam case. Available in Natural gloss finish.

I ordered this because I wanted a 12 string acoustic electric with a great sound, and my past experience with Guild has always been great... I am however, disappointed with this guitar. First, I received it with the battery pack disconnected and rattling around inside the body of the guitar. Since Guild, nor Fishman provide any instructions on the placement of the battery internally or exactly where to plug it in to the control board ( which is inside with volume and tone controls, rather than external controls) I took off the strings and found the velcro inside where that battery attaches and figured out where it plugged in, and did so. I restrung the guitar and tuned it up. It seems to have pretty good tone and volume unplugged, but I was really disappointed once I plugged it into any one of my amps... Fender, Vox and Line. The electronics almost completely diminish the bass and low end mid range. Combined with the 1st string tuning key that pops when you tune it, and each time it does so that string goes back out of tune according to my ear and on board amp tuners, I decided to return this. I will have electronics put in my Martin or my Suzuki 12 string guitar instead... or buy another Martin with the electronics already installed... I have had such great luck with Martin, I don't know why I ever bothered with Guild... I won't again.
