Tacet actually uses surround sound to surround the listener with the music. Almost all other classical type discs attempt to mimic the concert hall with surround sound. Tacet has the musicians playing in all the different channels so that it sounds like the listener is in the middle of the string quartet or symphony or whatever. It works well for me. I highly recommend Tacet to anyone who is willing to try something different. This is what surround sound should sound like.
