The Black Winter fills the needs of extreme metal guitarists with a tone that provides crushing distortion, punishing midst and lots of aggressive saturation and string sensitivity. Neck and bridge pickups are calibrated for a balanced assault. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, we offer the Black Winter in standard 6-string size, as well as 7 & 8 string passive mount with naked coils (or in Active 'Soap bar' Mount with exposed pole pieces). Comes with 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.

These BLACK WINTER 7 STRING pickups are the most BRUTAL humbuckers I've ever played . Perfect for any type of metal or metalcore playing . Easy install . This is why SEYMOUR DUNCAN pickups are on top and the best performance upgrade you can make to any 7 string guitar !!!I've played actives in the past and these just sound better , and don't require a 9v or 18v system to use them!!the NAZGUL bridge pickup is another best buy for metalcore as well . Harmonics are crazy easy to achieve with these and are designed for the lowest tuning you can throw at them. Highly recommended without a doubt !!!
