I have a 2014 Epiphone ES-339 P90 PRO that is a great guitar except for its stock tuners. I don't like the way they look (can you say plastic?) and they didn't turn smoothly. I really wanted to replace them with Grover locking kidney button tuners but they would have have been a pain to install. These tuners promised to be an easier modification.The procedure I followed was:1 - Remove the stock tuners and their inserts, making sure to retain the screws.2 - Taped up the top and bottom of the head stock with painters masking tape.3 - Reamed out the tuning machine holes with a 3/8 drill bit. I was feeling lucky so I used it with a hand-held drill. It worked fine.4 - Removed the masking tape5 - Threaded in the new inserts. They screwed in smoothly and snugged up tight. Be sure to use the enclosed washers.6 - Install the 136N's using the original scews.7 - Admire a beautiful result!I noticed no changes to the guitar at all, except for the fact that it now looks better and tunes smoothly. I highly recommend this modification.
