Honestly, I'm a 30 year fan of EMG pickups so these pickups were a slam dunk. I dropped them into a 2012 Fender American Deluxe Jazz V - They fit great, though I did have to remove some of the shielding I had put in for the bridge pickup - bases is custom painted so YMMV! I also have the EMG BTS tone mod... Together this is heaven for me - amazing bass with an amazing sound!
